How much does a custom kitchen cost?
Realistic figures, no sugar-coating

This is the most common question we receive — and it deserves an honest answer. No 'it depends', no 'get in touch and we'll see'. Real figures, what affects the price, and where the pitfalls are.

01 — Starting pointWhere does the price of a custom kitchen start?

A custom kitchen is not a standard product with a price tag on the shelf. The price is determined by the size of the space, the type of materials, the number of units, the chosen mechanisms, and the level of finish. Two kitchens of the same length — same layout, same number of doors — can have dramatically different prices because of those details.

That said, experience from over 1,000 completed kitchens gives us a realistic framework we can share openly. There is no reason to hide numbers — honesty saves both your time and ours.

"The minimum project starts at around €2,000, while a premium kitchen begins at €5,000 and up. The difference lies in details you often can't see in the first photo."

02 — Realistic figuresConcrete price ranges

Based on the projects we have completed, here are realistic ranges:

Entry level — from €2,000 to €3,000

Smaller space, functional layout, standard materials and Blum mechanisms. A solid choice for a rental apartment, investment property, or budget-defined project. It does not mean low quality — it means clearly defined priorities.

Mid-range — from €3,000 to €5,000

Larger space or richer internal fittings: drawers instead of standard shelves, in-drawer organisers, Legrabox system, more tall units, higher-quality decors. This is our most common segment for a family kitchen.

Premium segment — from €5,000 upwards

Larger kitchens with an island, premium materials, complex mechanisms (lift-up fronts, pocket doors, high-end built-in appliances), individual design, and a higher level of finish. There is no upper limit here — it all depends on your wishes and your space.

03 — What affects the priceFive factors that most affect the final figure

Many buyers come with a rough space size and ask for a price. That is a good starting point, but the real answer depends on five key factors:

1. Type of internal fittings

Drawers instead of fixed shelves mean better access, a better look, and greater durability — but also a higher price. Spice organisers, corner pull-outs, the Legrabox system, and similar upgrades can significantly increase the total cost, but also the kitchen's functionality.

2. Door type and materials

Matt lacquer, high gloss, foil-wrapped, veneer, or solid wood fronts — each material has a different price and distinct visual character. Egger laminate offers an excellent balance of cost and durability; wood and lacquered fronts belong to the higher segment.

3. Worktop

A laminate worktop is the most economical choice. Quartz composite (Silestone, Compac, Dekton) starts at €100–300/m and up, depending on thickness and brand. Granite and marble follow their own pricing logic.

4. Mechanisms and hardware

Blum Servo-Drive (silent automatic closing), lift mechanisms for wall units (Aventos), pocket sliding doors — each mechanism adds to the total price but also to everyday comfort.

5. Dimensions and complexity

Larger space, more corner units, unusual room shapes, sloped ceilings, or non-standard heights — all of these increase manufacturing complexity and price. Standard spaces are more economical to work with.

Important note

Material, component, and labour costs change over time. All figures in this article are indicative for 2026 — an exact quote is only possible after on-site measuring and defining all details.

04 — PitfallsWhere do budgets most often go wrong?

The three most common situations where the final price exceeds the initial estimate:

Built-in appliances are not included in the kitchen price. The custom kitchen price covers units, fronts, hardware, and installation. The fridge, oven, hob, extractor, and dishwasher are ordered separately. These items can easily add €1,500–4,000 depending on brand and type.

The worktop is priced separately. Many buyers forget that the worktop is a separate line item, especially when choosing quartz composite or granite. With us, every item is always clearly listed in the quote.

Changes during the project are expensive. If you decide to change the layout, materials, or mechanisms after the project is confirmed, costs can increase. It is better to spend more time planning at the start.

05 — Next stepHow to get a realistic quote?

An exact price is not possible without measuring the space and understanding your wishes. What we can promise is a transparent quote — every item listed separately, with no hidden costs and no surprises at delivery.

Measuring is free and comes with no obligation. After measuring and a short conversation about your preferences, we prepare a proposal with a detailed specification and an indicative price. Only then can you make a fully informed decision.
